Argh...that quote just makes my blood boil. It's people like that that are just the downfall of our society. Honestly, if looks are all you care about, just go look at your porn, then you can even pretend that the girl wants you as bad as you want her!! It's stupid people like this that will never realize the TRUE beauty of some people. Just because someone is good looking on the outside doesn't stop them from being ugly on the inside. I hate to be the biased type, but sadly, most of the typical "hot" girls I've met, are really none too pleasant to be around. They're stuck up, bitchy, and just flat out NOT INTERESTING. Then there's people like...oh I don't know, the (few) girls that I talk to on a regular basis. They don't wear the trendiest new clothes (or most revealing for that matter), they don't have long blonde hair, they don't have giant boobs or a perfect little behind, they may not be the next Paris Hilton or Heather Graham, but they're still some of the nicest people I've met in my life. This also applies to the opposite gender too though. Sure I may find Dustin Kensrue or Sean William Scott somewhat attractive, but that doesn't mean I should go out and date them for that sole purpose! I bet that I'd have nothing in common with either of them if I ever got the chance to meet them. It's usually the guys that you least expect that are the most caring and interesting to be around. I don't see why everyone can't just be on equal footing.

Ok, ranted long enough here. It's just that I've been thinking about this subject for the past few weeks, really I have. I'm not complaining or trying to make myself feel better about the way I look, I just wish our frigging stupid society didn't put so much emphasis on looks (then I wouldn't have to spend half an hour in front of a mirror every morning). I'll be honest though, it does make my day when someone tells me I look nice, or if I'm told I'm attractive, but no matter what, it still won't help the fact that I'll always subconciously be comparing myself to the thousands of girls that I see everywhere in magazines, on TV, movies...and sadly enough, even porn. Despite all the pressure around me (and good god does that ever sound like a cliché), I'll always be true to what I want to look like. But I'm sure that there's far too many people out there that agree with me about how we depend on looks. Thanks for reading this far if you actually did.
